The goal of Team Nutrition is to improve children’s lifelong eating and physical activity habits through nutrition education based on the principles of the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, MyPlate and MyPyramid for Kids.

Team Nutrition focuses on five specific behavior outcomes:

  2. Eat more fruits, vegetables and whole grains
  3. Eat lower fat foods more often
  4. Get your calcium-rich foods
  5. Be physically active
